My plans are to relocate the spare tire storage, does anyone know if I can cut out the original X frame in the rear and replace it with angle stock?

I moved mine when i did my short bed conversion... Its really the only structural cross-member the rear of the frame has. You can spread the frame rails apart with your hands without it.

I would take another piece in, before you cut that out BTW... Just to hold the rails

If yall have ever tried to get one of those out, you will see just how substantial it is... Unless you just hack it to hell with a torch lol.
