If that's the case, the thermostat is probably either opening below its rating or stuck open. The hose shouldn't get scalding hot to the touch, just uncomfortable to the touch. Same for the heater hoses. You'd almost need to verify with something better than a factory dash gauge. They are garbage. My dash temp gauge reads about 25-30* cooler than my Autometer does.

i think you should leave it my dads burb was running cold for a while then the sensor woke up again after a while lol

Just because the thermostat is new it does not mean that it's not bad. You can pull it out and put it in a pot of water, that you can check the temperature of with a thermostat, than put the thermostat from the truck in and see if it opens when it says, or if it's doing something funky, like opening earlier, or just stuck open.
