If I couldn't find a GMT400 454 Vortec ECLB 2500 or 3500 then I would go for something like this:

I need something with some pulling power. My '96 does fine, but if it met it's demise, I would go for an HD Cummins.
This one is actually on my local Craigslist as I write this.

Edit: I think I would want to get away from red this time.

An exact copy of our truck but I would love to find one with 04.5 24 valve cummins swap. Same color, same options, a spray in bed liner would be nice as well as the now extinct 5 spoke Alcoa's.

:handshake: 6 speed transmission 4x4 and i'll go with the bullet hole alcoa style 19.5s

This truck has so much potential, already think it has a cummins swap to

needs some shine to it, not a fan of flat black on a driver

If I had to replace my '98, I'd be looking for something like this...

:handshake: dad has a 54 that will be restored one of these days, and i would love a 67-72 chevy or gmc c/10

Mine would be a 1972 GMC, 1/2ton, long bed, 4x4, mild lift, 35's, 396 (402), 4-speed, Sierra grande with dark green and white two-tone.

Or

88-93 GMC/Chev, 2wd, regular cab, Shortbed, ty paintjob (More colors the better), Tubbed, big meats out back, skinnies in front, 73-87 Rally's with no caps or rings, 496 aluminum headed BBC, Built TH400, Built 14-bolt with 4.56's, Rollcage. no carpet, headliner or any of the bullcrap.

just a pure sleeper.

i like your style

1989-93 Dodge w250
Ecsb
5.9 cummins
5 speed
6 inches of lift
37's on 15x10s
Y pipe straight pipe with 7 inch tips 45'd
White/storm trooper
4.56 gears
In rail tool box
Hid conversion
Smoked corners, signals and tails
15% tint
Flip out touch screen head unit
4 channel amp
Amped Rockford components
Mono amp
Dual 10's under seat
Confederate flag headliner
Custom neoprene seat covers
.....

I could go on and on....

And then look for another rcss 400 :hidesbehindsofa: 383 /5speed 4X4 sas'd on 35's

same as above, except in a gm chassis, oh, and i may have the last part one of these days minus the stepside, already have the 35s and 5 speed, motor is being torn down for build now{slowly but surely}

Depends what happened to the truck I suppose... but if I just wanted another one....

2000 K3500 CCSB.. SRW. 37s, 6.0 LQ4, nv4500.. 14b FF 4.88s......:D

nice

I already had to make this decision. I decided to build me a gmt400 because they never made the one i want. I am building a optioned out 98 k2500, keeping my mildly built vortec 350, NV4500 5 speed, and its a single cab short bed. Build is mostly complete. I just lack finishing up the interior and finding some tires and wheels for it. GMT400 for life :rockit:

Id like 88-92 truck reg cab long bed, solid axled (4link with 60s), turbo 383 with built 700r4 to match. 4.88's with 35's tucked in nice about 4 inches of lift. probably do semi gloss black, prerunner rear and front fenders not fiberglass noes though, exhaust out both sides, suburban gas tank, bonneville seats to match red interior, 95 style dash with hydrodipped snow camo pieces, digital guages, older style chevy front grille, crazy offset, Make it look like a pitbull, not sure what style mirrors id run, kodiak handles, boxed frame, tinted cab lights, older style dually tailgate. i could continue on and on

thats just one of many ideas

Extended cab squarebody, 3/4 ton
LS swapped... Some sort of roots blower on it
NV4500, maybe even ZF 6speed
Very small lift, maybe 2" w/ the exact wheels and tires on my pickup

Done and done, then just work the piss out of it.

If I sold or something happened to mine, and this is being realistic, I would go get a 2014 Silverado 1500, 5.3 Ecotec, Double Cab, Topaz Blue Metallic in color. I could technically pay for it, just need a down payment.
