Mine would be a 1972 GMC, 1/2ton, long bed, 4x4, mild lift, 35's, 396 (402), 4-speed, Sierra grande with dark green and white two-tone.

Or

88-93 GMC/Chev, 2wd, regular cab, Shortbed, ty paintjob (More colors the better), Tubbed, big meats out back, skinnies in front, 73-87 Rally's with no caps or rings, 496 aluminum headed BBC, Built TH400, Built 14-bolt with 4.56's, Rollcage. no carpet, headliner or any of the bullcrap.

just a pure sleeper.

I am actually on the hunt for a new to me truck (it would help if I was caught up financially) I want another GMT400, I want a truck that is a little rough around the edges. I would prefer a reg cab long bed 8 lug 2500 or single wheel 3500 Prefer a 350 but would prob take a 6.5 or a 454 if the price it right, standard or auto don't matter. second choice would be another reg cab short bed. I want to crank to level 1" or 2" max body lift, fact. style flares. biggest tires I can fit. Home built bumpers, roll bar styled headache rack. and most likely flat green and black or camo paint. Nothing exotic or really special just a solid built (GMT400 is the last of the solid built trucks IMO) work and play truck.

Some of us are more interested in rusty trucks that produce lots of black smoke vs. Clean GM products.... :Nonono:

Cummins is great, but i'll never buy it while its bolted to a dodge chassis, or even a nissan for that matter... :pepper:

Here's a fun little idea... If something happened to your beloved GMT400, and you had to go truck shopping tomorrow for a new one, what would you look for?

Would it be a GMT400? No, I'd be looking for an early first gen Superduty
What Color? Single Color/Two-Tone? Doesn't matter, color is less important than condition
Cab? Single,Extended, Crew? Extended or crew, 3 door EC would be just about right
Bed? Short bed or long bed? 8 foot box
Class? 1500/2500/3500? 350, SRW. Could make due with a 250
Drivetrain? From the 4.3 to the 7.4 and everything in between. 12v Cummins with a P7100
AT/MT? Auto of some sort, likely Allison
2WD/4x4? 4x4
Lifted/Stock/Lowered? Stock
Customized or Stock? Stock to very, VERY mild custom in appearance

Be realistic, obviously most of us would probably like a $50-60k rig...

Upload a picture of your "next purchase" I'd likely have to build it to be the vehicle I would want, would rather pay someone to build it at this point

Ready.... GO. Already went

This is what I would consider a good starting point for my own personal "Fummins":

Hell, my 1998 K2500 would be out the door tomorrow if I could find a straight trade for a stock 1st gen Superduty. If I could turn back the clock that's what i would have bought instead of the current rig. I'm just too "Bee-ay-double L-ess" deep now to bail out....

:)
