Hood Lock Kit issues?????????

trying to install the Mr. Gasket 1472 Super Security Hood Lock Kit
on my 1990 chevy cheyenne, and need a some help understanding how,

anyone ever done this install or know how to do it? Any advise would be great!

Haven't used a hood lock kit but it just looks like the old hood pins with a lock instead of a pin.

Looks like you mount your posts in the rad support, punch your holes in the hood and then adjust it for length....just like a hood pin kit>

I would say so.

Seems like a waste of time on our trucks, you cant open them from the outside without pulling the hood release...
