Help me fix the hard start in my 98 I just sold

P0420 and P0430 shouldn't affect performance right? They are supposed to indicate cat problems, but with no cat there they don't affect fuel trim or anything right? Just a CEL?

Changed it, no effect on the bogging issue. It did help it start a little better. We have it starting fine now with a standard tune up, just still have the bogging issue at high speed.

Long shot, but the air filter is ok right. I had an impala eat me lunch because the intake tube had a plastic bag stick in the box.

We'll make sure the fender is clear, but the air filter is new and we had all the intake from fender to throttle body apart Sunday night when we did the tune up.

Yeah It's probably not it but worth a shop to take a look at.
