Hey all,

I have a 1990 K1500, and I have installed a new crate engine (haven't fired it up yet though). It has a 350 TBI, and I'm running an Edelbrock intake manifold- so the throttle body sits up a little higher, and pulls on the throttle cable a little. Now there is very little room for my gas peddle to move- it's either no throttle or full throttle seemingly.

How can I go about adjusting the cable so that I have a wider range of motion?

I put a Summit intake on my '89. I cut and welded my bracket until the throttle and TV cables fit. If you don't have a welder you might have to try redrilling the mounting holes in the bracket and bending the tabs.

I don't remember having any issues with the cables on my 88 but, I'm getting old and have CRS. Here, I have it mocked up and you can see the accelerator cable (red arrow) is looped around back.
