I can’t lie, it is nice! LolYeah, I'm pretty envious of @frito-bandito right now with his ice cold air conditioning!
Learn to back up using your side mirrors like truck drivers do. Once you get used to it it's not that hard.I haven't had it on long enough to find out. I can see that backing up is going to be an adjustment. Right now there's not even one bolt holding the bed to the frame. I still need to clean up and paint the frame, fix a couple of dents and a few dings on the bed, and go from there. I'm anxiously awaiting the opportunity to swap out the grille, lights, and bumper up front.
Yeah, I'm a big fan of mirrors. That's why I love the ones that are on my truck. I haven't had any issues with the topper being in the way in the last ~400 miles. The only thing that is getting on my nerves is 1) I need to get a key made for the topper, and 2) this bed came with a drop in plastic bed liner AND a rubber mat on top of that. It smells like pee in there something awful! I got the topper off and started sanding on it. Then I took the rubber mat and plastic liner out. There it was... 4 large mouse nests! Stinking mess! Quick trip to the car wash solved the stink issue. I still have to get some Dawn and a brush in there, but it supposed to rain for the next 7 days here, so I might just be lazy.
