I just did it last night to my car. The kits work pretty good but if you already have a buffer and a polishing pad, you can just buy some buffing compound and sandpaper. I started with 1000 grit to cut through the haze, 1500 grit to level it, then finished it with 2000 grit to make it really smooth. Then used my buffer and Maguires plastic polish on medium speed for three applications. Then be sure to finish with a qualitywax. You don't need the 2000 grit I just find it's easier to polish out that way. Also make sure your sand paper stays very wet and keep your buffer moving cause if you burn your lens your hosed.
