Just watched a video on YouTube showing how you can basically bolt on gmt800 2500hd/3500 knuckles/spindles lower/upper control arms calipers and rotors on our gmt400 2500s. Does that mean whit a bit of determination a gmt800 suspension lift could fit?

Doubtful. The lift kits involve a set of drop brackets that move the differential and the stock LCA's down. They become the new frame, and the frames are vastly different.
The hex of the torsion bars are different. The CV shafts get spacers, and they're different.
Torsion bar crossmembers are different.

You'd be better off getting a GMT400 lift kit for your GMT400 truck.
