Did some research. Apparently, M.A.N. Invented it, Its called a hypercycle engine, and it works basically like a diesel. It has a fuel density compensator in the injector pump to make it spray less of a more volatile fuel. The injectors squirt instead of spray, and the fuel burns as it spreads across a cup in the piston. I read it eats up injector pumps to run them on straight gasoline. They recommend at least a quart of oil per 10 gallons of gas. Pretty neat, i always wondered how these worked...

Looks like most of those had turbocharged 465 cubic inch motors, and made 134 hp, and 330 ft lbs of torque. Quite a trade off for being able to run on most anything.

A regular diesel will run away on gasoline, melt the pistons at the least, and cause severe damage to the injector pump.
Not what I ment but they'll run on bio fuel used oil used cooking grease etc.
