Front Receiver Hitch and Gun Rack

For anyone that likes the idea of having one but can't make it themselves, here you go...Curt 31042 or Draw-Tite 65005. I've been looking into these myself recently to have a better front recovery point than the stock tow hooks

Man, must be hard to back in a boat into the water with a camper on the rear of your truck? lol And sorry, didnt really see the whole post i guess. I read it off my phone. the winche idea is cool!

Let's just say, some people need a little help. I've seen countless people jack-knife trailers on the ramp and not even know, back into the ramp.. etc. etc.
I've seen my fair share of people in the water as well, and unfortunately I'm one of them.

Front Recerver Hitch

I found a receiver winch carrier at northern tools.com was rated to 12,000lbs if I remember right. Most we're only rated to 10,000lbs, might be worth looking at if you want to get a larger rated winch for your setup.

I dont this the ones I posted will...the frames are different. But if you check the Curt hitches website you should be able to find one

Another option is the Warn 25897.

As for my hitch, with the help of a drop light after dark today, I used some clamps to mount it to the frame quickly (haven't bought any bolts yet), and noticed it wouldn't quite clear the bottom edge of the bumper. I'll probably roll the bottom edge of the bumper up into itself a little to make it clear, as the bumper isn't in the best shape anyways. Spent all of my money on a new CB the day before I threw the hitch together, so I can't afford to buy any bolts or paint at the moment. Now I just wait on a paycheck! I will clamp it back up tomorrow and take some pics if I get a chance.

*EDIT--Unrelated, but I also threw this gun rack together yesterday. It mounts to the slope under the trim panel behind the seat, with tabs below that mount to the floor. Hooks covered in strips of carpet.

Got the bumper mounted back up today, and put the hitch in place for some pics. It fits so close to the bumper that I'm going to have to relocate the license plate, but that's not big deal. Here are some pics:

Yeah yours just hangs down a little lower than mine. I wanted to tuck it up as high as I could cause I've had my truck on its nose too much in the past.
