Just10..., Thank you too, for your post. Extremely interesting, but I'm confused on a couple points: What is the significance of what appears to be a center, "notch," cut into the bottom of your bumper? Next, are you saying you did not install an production hitch, but rather mounted two separate 2-inch receivers? And finally, I am not familiar with Anderson Quick Connects. Guess I better look that up. Appears you have created a very versatile set up for your needs.

the center notch is where the 2” receiver for the hitch comes out.

You are correct, this is a hitch i made. I made it like this to have 3 pulling points, basically the winch will pull against 3 points of welds. It wont bend. All 1/4” & 3/8“ material. Thats a 3x4 angle 1/4 thick, welded onto 3/8 end plates, the wings are also 3/8.

the 2 other seperate 2” receiver bars are mounted where the tow hooks were. I unbolted the tow hooks, drilled another hole in each receiver bar, and used the pre existing hole from where lynch pin goes in. Them that got bolted where tow hooks were.

on the outside, where a trailer ball normally goes, essentially i rotated it 90° and installed a shackle. this is my pulling point
when snatch block is installed

Anderson quick connects are basically oversized warn quick connects for wiring. I have 2 1/0 welding cable ran from battery terminal block to the front, and 2 2/0 running to rear.

i can unplug the hitch from the front receiver, and wiring disconnect, then install it in rear receiver and plug in power wires there

I put a used Curt on the front of my dually. The factory airdam still fits and I kept my tow hooks.

I believe I did this in conjunction with the diesel bumper.

Just10, thanks. Your system seems well thought out. I'll not need to go that far. Checked my winch and it's a WARN 4000. Doubt I'll ever even use that to full extent. Thanks to SuperCharged as well. Looks like a green light for me on a Curt hitch.

Yea mines pretty heavy duty. Them ol 8274 are beasts. Ive pulled out 3/4 tons buried several times . Just took chokers wrapped around trees and shackled into my rear hitch. Let the worm gear do its job

Just a quick question jus10inbrla, I found a 8274 and have a k2500. Wanting to do the hitch set up like you have. Did you find the cradle somewhere or build it yourself?

Built myself. 1/4” plate with extra square washer welded in front where the 4 mount holes are. Then made angles out of 1/4 plate. Welded receiver on bottom, all the way down. Left it sticking out about 15” to allow wiggle room to get lynch pin in hitch.
