By the way, if you're getting involved in a major rebuild or restoration project on your older GM vehicle, you can order Shop Assembly Manuals that were used by assembly line workers in the various plants. It spells out each part's placement, bolt torques, part numbers, etc. in detail. When I completely rebuilt my Corvette, it was invaluable. Here's a sample page on something as basic as drilling holes for the 1967 Corvette 427 hood numerals.

Although the above Sheet A15 indicates that it refers to the L36 UPC / RPO, it also applies to the L68, the L71, the L71/L89 and the legendary L88. Yeah, that L88. :eek:
