I have a built 4l60E with a small stall converter. What would be a good fluid to run in it?

DEX 3 (I think the dip stick on my truck is actually stamped IIE but 3 is the replacement). You'll get a thousand different answers on brand, pick one you like, I like synthetic...

Atleast dex 3 like they spec'd from the factory, anything above that will be fine dex 6 is synthetic, also a repair manual will tell you this, always good to own one of those.

Might as well use Dex 6, it's fully backward compatible with Dex 3 applications.

In my 700R4 I put in AMSoil when the tranny was rebuilt an its a heavily rebuilt tranny.

Stick with what the factory calls for. Brand is up to you.

Might as well use Dex VI because that's the current fluid since like 2005-2006. Dex III is phased out and anything you find that actually says "Dexron III" is old stock. You might find fluid that says it's COMPATIBLE with Dex III but that's what is known as unlicensed...
