Fix for floor mounted console cup holder

I found a fix for the cup holder that goes in the center console for when the flimsy clips break that hold it together. I took an old soldering iron and plastic welded the two pieces together where they were touching. Hopefully it will hold for awhile until I can get one 3d printed.

I super glued the one in my dually back together and just the other day hot glued the one in the 1500 back together. Pretty sure you can just buy a new assembly too.

I tried the super glue rout a few times and kept it together for a little while but it broken again. I’ve searched and searched for a new one no one seems to sell it GM discontinued that part years ago.

GM doesn't make the replacement, somebody else does. Who that is completely escapes me, hopefully someone who remembers will chime in. @df2x4 ?

The brand name is "Vertical" according to the Amazon listing... Part number AW-CPGM01.
