So I know there's great contention for the stupid center cup holder under the vent. Are there any alternatives? I found this https://www.lmctruck.com/1973-87-chevy-gmc/cc-csb-ashtray-drink-holder Does anyone know if it will fit the 88-98 body style? Or maybe something like this but for a chevy https://www.genosgarage.com/product/cup-holder-9802/cup-holder Or are there any other ways to fix this or replace it with something actually useful. Or maybe a center console that has cup holder i can replace mine with? I have the split bench with drop down opening center console arm rest in case someone has other ideas. Please let me know. Thanks

The ashtray version looks like a spill waiting to happen, even if you had a 73-91.

Subsequent generation base trucks (99-06) had a cupholder that fit under the center bench seat portion on the floor, maybe something like that could be made to fit. No idea if it was functional but it may be something to look into.

For what it’s worth, a stock bucket seat center console still requires you to hold onto the cup when you take even the slightest turn once the rubber tabs wear out. It becomes second nature and my kids routinely forget that point.

I want to keep my split bench seat. Anything maybe beside a Walmart floor console?
I used to have one of these, when I had the OE 60-40 seats. I wanted to keep the 60-40 seats, but the driver's seat was getting bad. I found a set of bucket seats,( at a swap meet) out of a 95 Tahoe that were in grate shape. I now have this. I built the shifter. The shifter handle is out of a 1970 Chevelle SS.

Not if you keep a Redbull can on the small side. I do that for both trucks and the center console cupholder works like a champ in all conditions.
