For a 350 @ 6,000RPM a 650 CFM carb will work.

The early Z-28. LT1 350 370 horse used the Holley 3310 which was 780 cfm
I've been building drag cars and Sprint cars since the 60s and used about every fuel system possible. Recently two builds with my children , we put a 406 out of my sprinter into a 90 firebird. Compression at 10.8 total seal rings, brodix heads and a single plane intake with a summit 750 cfm carb.
It gets about 20 mpg with 6 speed manual trans and 342 gear.
The vacuum secondaries and electric choke are great. The carb has a 1 piece base so no fuel leaks and a power valve that won't blow with a back fire. Uses Holley floats and externally adjustable needle and seats.
My daughter and I built a 62 Biscayne with a 30 over 327 with 10.8 compression Same 6 speed heads and carb. This one has 4:11 gear and a mild cam. It gets 25 mpg on a 1100 mile trip to Virginia where she was stationed in the Marines. She does the engines in F-18s there.
These were their first cars and they can fix any trouble. Plus I'm cleaning out my garage.
Also, the 780 Holley was used on the 427 and several other fast small and big blocks.
Show no fear and buy the summit 750 as it's cheap too.
