What year
What engine
Did you check for codes to see why the light is on?
Why do you suspect an egr problem?
Were gonna need some more info.
Tell everyone what truck you have and what is going wrong and pull the codes.
Easy to do
If you dont know how to retrieve codes let everybody know and we will walk you through it.
Its really easy

If you delete the egr, the intake will be cleaner but the combustion chamber temperatures will be higher. I guess it’s personal preference if you want to delete it. If your egr isn’t working, it’s easier and cheaper to fix it than delete it.

I can vouch for this. I replaced the tube from the EGR solenoid to the EGR valve, and accidentally put the new hose on the vent instead of the reaction port. Truck ran like complete hell from no EGR, AND a vacuum leak. Repair the EGR system!
