Every so often my ECM-B fuse will blow. Usually happens right when I turn the key on and prevents the fuel pump from starting. I have a new Delco fuel pump and a new relay installed. Recently cleaned all terminals from the alternator and battery. This is on a 96 C1500 5.7. Any ideas?

i've read a thread before with this same issue. It ended up being a chaffed wire in one of the harnesses near the bellhousing. It was sparking to a harness strap every so often and blew the fuse.

my Yukon had that same exact issue. I bet there is a break in a wire somewhere to the fuel pump or the fuel pump is shorting out internally. I found a wire rubbing on the frame above the fuel tank and also a wire to the fuel pump inside the tank from the sender.
