Can some one look at this diagram for an E-fan harness for 05 GMC truck
I have inked in a trace for a on/off switch and a indicator light for when the fans are on/off.
If the fan relays fail the light will not be on (in slow/stopped traffic, or if A/C clutch is engaged)
Activate the fans by switch on, the indicator light should burn continuously letting me know the fans are operating again.
I think this should work, my concern is there any 12 volt feed back to the relays, that may cause a problem??? , or am I good to go?
If this is junk, can some one point me in the right direction?

Why not just use a switch to trip the relay instead?

But no the light would not work like that.
Your tying 2 legs of the fans together.

Do you want the light to illuminate with fan low or fan High?

You would be better off by connecting the switch to pin 86 on relay to the far right.
Then connect your light hot wire to pin 30 on the same relay.

looking at the diagram it looks like the relay coil already has power and the pcm controls the ground. so by putting in a switch you would want it to go to ground instead of to 12v. The way you have it in the second pic looks like it would work.

So in the second picture it's correct but the switch should be grounded instead of being hot

Yep..
Like mentioned.
You need to ground one leg of the switch and the other leg goes to pin 86.

Thanks Guys, I did a bench test and all worked except the when bulb wire was plugged to the gray fan wire the light would not come on when blue clutch cycle wire was touched to neg. All else worked.
I switched this connection to the blue fan wire and it worked.

Blue to neg, driver fan on low, light on.
Green to pos, both fans on low, light on.
Blue to neg, green to pos both fans on hi, light on

When signal drops fans go off light goes off.
Turn switch on both fans on low, light on
Switch off, fans off, light off
Cant thank you enough, boy I was way off the mark.

My dad is a master electrician so I learned alot over the years. I usually try stuff and when it releases the smoke I'll try and figure out where I screwed up..

These awesome forums make stuff alot easier especially with the great group of guys on here.
