So, on my '99 CCSB k2500, what is the difference in the rear axles between it, and a k3500? I hear people say the dually rear end is narrower. Even if that's the case, could I not just put longer studs and run duals? Or would there be a balance issue? I don't know much about axles/suspension. and for the front, do the dually's have different hubs in the front? that make the wheels stick out more and are they just different studs as well or what.

At just about the half way point down the page. It explains SRW vs DRW vs C&C and van.

As I read it. The dually axle is much longer. With hubs that bring it inboard. Making the wheel mounting point to wheel mounting point 4.5 in wider on the dually.
