There was no buzzer on my '96 dually when I got it. I got one from a friend's truck and put it in but now it won't stop buzzing. Goes off when the key is out but any time the key is in it buzzes. Turning on lights etc.. makes no difference. Any ideas where to start checking? I'd really like to have the buzzer.

Thanks,

Terry

Have you checked the switch by the door? Mine has started acting funky. On really cold mornings, I have to close the door with something between it and the switch so the switch closes enough.

Agreed, most likely a problem with the driver's side door jamb switch.

My scientific wild ass guess would be that it thinks that the key is in the ignition switch.
