Does the tailgate fit on a Suburban

Hey!

I have barn doors on my 97' suburban. But i got the offer of buying a tailgate from a 3door tahoe, he says its a 94-99 tahoe. Does this fit? Is it alot of work? Anyone with experience doing this kind of work?

You have a hole at the back set up for barn DOORS and not set up for a tailgate and smaller doors. A master fabricator could do it and would involve a bunch of BUILDING. Great idea but get the money $$$$$$$ ready.

Totally different stampings welded in and sealed back there between the two styles. Latches, hinges, specific shape of the openings, electrical connections, everything different.

Personally, I like barn doors better than a tailgate. I wish my 2005 Tahoe Z71 had barn doors.
