There were way more pre-'96 trucks with fogs than '96+ trucks. The only ones I know had fogs were the '00 Tahoe Limited/Z71 and '99-'00 Escalade/Denali. I'm sure there were others, but not many.

yeah my 97 rcsb has em (I believe theyre in the "sport" package) and i had a hard time getting them disabled.

My only input is that DRL use less amperage to illuminate for daytime. Yes its using your headlight bulbs, but the light sensor on your dash is telling a computer its daylight, then the computer sends less amperage based off this reading. May i ask your concern with DRL and why you want them disabled?
