Here is a copy n paste with info for those interested

So recently another member and myself were discussing OBS factory gauges and the new Dakota Digital VHX Series. By the end of that day, I decided to email DD and ask if they had any plans for the OBS platform. His response sounded promising but we'll have to back that up with requests. So that means if you're interested in running these gauges in your truck, email them, let them know you have an OBS and tell them you belong to this forum (other forums if you're a multiple member). I'm not on GMT400 and not active on GMFullsize but I'd ask you to post this info there if you are. Keep in mind, this will not only update your interior a bit but (I imagine) will also be a good solution for guys doing engine swaps. Just hoping I can help get this done.

Didn't know how to do a poll. Here is the DD reps response to my email

------------------------------

Keith,

The layouts will all be based on the current VHX family, six analog ‘sweep’ gauges likely with two LCD message centers.

Connectivity will be through our current control box and supplied sending units, thusly allowing the system to work with stock or nearly any drivetrain situation. It’d solve a lot of problems with the many transmission swaps we see in these trucks.

Thanks,

Greg,

Thank you for the prompt response. That in itself is greatly appreciated. I will definitely post this information. Your support would be a valuable solution to our trucks. One more thought, the 95-99 are a traditional style dial gauge while the 88-94's were a unique style. I think most would gladly accept at 95 and up style dial gauge adapted to fit the 88-94 arrangement. Something else to think about. These would also prove to be an option for those of us wanted to do engine swaps to the LSx platform. Thanks again, for hearing me out and the quick response.

Keith,

Thank you very much for the email! We're always looking at what the next
VHX applications are going to be, and customer requests are a great way
to gauge the demand.

Honestly, right now these trucks are not on the schedule, but they
likely will be for next year. I'll add you to the request list; the more
requests the sooner higher it'll be on the list!! (tell your C/K
friends!)

Thanks,

Hi, I would like to know if you guys have given any thought to creating
a VHX series kit for the 88-98 Old Body Style Chevy full-size truck?
There are many online forums filled with these "OBS" truck owners who
customize them and I know your gauges would give an updated look to the
interior. I know your currently offer the digital set and I know you
also offer a couple stand alone gauge packages. I'm hoping you would
consider a kit created specifically for this vehicle though. 88-94 and
95-98 are the major changes but I believe the OBS community would
benefit with an new ideas you came up for us. Thank you for considering
this.

Like I said on FSC, I agree with you Deven that they are way to expensive for some gauges.
