Wondering if anyone might know what the difference is.
Checking car-part they show the TBI to be different between the 4L60e and 4L80e transmissions.
I am putting my 93 C1500 back to TBI and grabbed a TBI off a 95 K3500 with a 4L80e and I don't have the original 93 C1500 TBI to compare (someone had switched it to carb.)

Thanks

A 93 4L60 is essentially a 700r4. So not really computer controlled. Where as the 4L80 is 100% computer controlled.

The 4L60 is ABSOLUTELY computer controlled. The 700 is not. The difference is in the wiring. A couple pins are in different locations and theres an additional circuit for a VSS on the '80.

There is little difference in the TBI unit based on size, mainly injector and sensors.
Neither the '60e, nor the '80e use the 700's detent cable, so it has zero influence over shifting, the ECM does.

Now, there are different engines, and different internal parts in the TBI's for the 4.3, 5.0, 5.7, and 7.4

Appreciate the replies, so I guess connections on the TBI itself might be different between the 2 TBI's ?
I will find out for sure when I try to put this 95 K3500 350 4L80e TBI on my 93 C1500 350 4L60e.
