Hi all, took the heat gun and started debadging my 98 k1500. Everything was going fine till I hit the doors...it looks like someone previously put new lower door skins on and cut the panel right where the molding is so instead of painting the whole door they just used the badging to cover the paint line. the second i started the corner of the door I pulled a nice dime sized piece of paint off right away so I stopped for now..
So now I have two choices it seems. Either fix the one area and put all the badging back on or continue on and try to repair the areas where the paint came off. Being realistic the truck does have some rust and will need to have some work done and I will paint the entire truck some day. Any recommendations on how to proceed or fix the area I already pulled off?
