Got behind my coworker leaving work. He's put almost 50K miles on the old Suburban since he bought it, it went from me and my brother being scared to drive it more than 20 minutes from the house in case it broke down, to him driving it to the beach 3+ hours away, and to the mountains 2+ hours away and his wife driving it almost every day.
I'm glad he's having good luck, I know by the time I sold it I couldn't drive it without something breaking. I kind of miss it, but losing a T-case, the rear planetary in the transmission, and another transfer case in the time span of two months and two snow storms sort of left a bad taste in my mount.
I'll have another Suburban someday, only it'll be a 2500 to build my 8-lugger fleet.

From everything I read, they never sold a manual GMT400 Suburban, and I don't know why? This transmission works so well with this truck. I've driven a few Chevy W/T's with this trans/4.3, and they've always felt underpowered, this truck on the other hand has just the right amount of power for the situation (even weighing what it does).

I still have some things to tidy up like wiring up the T-Case selector switch, reverse lights, the neutral safety switch, and fixing the emergency brake.

This weekend I did oil changes and tire rotations on my truck and my wife’s and washed the ‘Rado and she took hers to a drive through car wash she has a membership at.

I told her I was trading her wheels and she sternly told me not a chance.

I like the black wheels on the silver truck. I loved the steel wheels I had on mine looks wise but one was bent or something and gave me a bad wobble at highway speeds so I put the aluminum back on. Considering looking at some AR62s in either black or polished but I do like the black on the silver paint

Couple I saw on the trip out to Stafford to free the Burb, plus it w/o tree on top. Black truck has an Oklahoma plate on it, and the other one is at our Stafford 7-11 that has finally opened!
