Okay so i have been debating turning my C2500 into a "K2500". What would be the process and how expensive would that be? I know there is a lot that goes in converting into a 4x4 i just need a price quota. Is it worth it? Or just keep the C2500 the way it is and buy a K model down the line?

Of the c2500 was clean as hell. I would say a sas swap would probably be the cheapest & simplest. Other wise i would just look for a clean 4wd. Whats is your rnd goal for the truck? Trail rig, mud truck, or just a all around 4wd?

I'm not too keen on SASs but the information is out there. Multiple people have done them. Facebook groups are a good source for info too. Beware, they're full of dumbasses though.

Forums might be better, at least google searches anyways. Facebook tends to get mad at the same questions over and over again. So research first, then ask them questions once you have an idea. That's my $.02 anyways lol

I don't know if it helps but 4-wheeler mag did a c1500 2wd to 4x4 swap they sell a kit. Just Google it and everything you need to know should pop up it was a blue extended cab c1500 they did a solid axle swap. And if you wanted to keep it IFS I would just look for a 4x4 chassis form same style truck.

2500/3500 2WD frames will require a special front cross-member as the frames are different than K-series 4x4s,
Then it's all the basics of an SAS, hanger mounts, leaf or 3-link, re-routing and making the steering work, etc, etc, etc.

There's tons of resources on here showing step-by-step processes on SAS as well as a few informational threads.
I'd look around on here for a while before going to FB, like I said, there's tons of info here; just gotta find it.

Alright, thanks for the help. I am majorly considering this sometime soon next year so i'll get to researching. Most people say just sell what i have and buy a factory 4x4 which is easier and cheaper but i just love my truck.
