I recently found out about a month ago that my frame was, well. ty. Completley. I failed the PA state inspection. I was told my truck needed junked.
I couldnt let this babyb girl go though. I just love it. The interior is so in tact. The engine runs great to. It has custom rims and small lift on the body.
So I decided I would do a frame swap. Its a lot of work, but well worth doing. I figured it would be a nice learning process too. My neighbor helped me out with the frame. We found a parted out truck for 500 $. We got the man to lower it down to 400 $.
Now, I got the frame. I had to remove the bed and cab, which was pretty easy since there was no engine, tranny, or interior left. I need to clean the little rust of the frame, paint her and do a complete swap.
