2 weeks ago I replaced the altenator on my '94 Chev. Then the glove box light stayed on and drained the battery. Fixed light and replaced battery. Now I have 12.6 volts at the battery which is good, running I have 14.7 volts. I've been a Ford guy all my life and 14.3 was always normal.
My question is 14.7 volts too high and could it harm the charging system or battery? Or will the higher voltage just make my system stronger?
