I have a 1992 K1500, 5.7L. I just put a new alternator in it, and whenever I go turn off the truck, the charging light comes on for a couple seconds, then goes out, and when in drive, at a stop, after warming up, the voltage varies from 9v to 12v on the dash.

I tested to see if it's charging, which it is (battery sits at 13 volts, charges at 14). I then checked the connector, and saw it loose, so I just replaced it, and the light is still coming back up. I'm not sure what to do.

EDIT: the alternator is a Driveworks (7981-7AV)

Video for what I see:

A new alternator, or a rebuilt O'Reillys jobber that has seen 475k miles and 13 engine fires?
