Center support slip joint "nut" removal

I need to replace my center support bearing but how do I get the threaded collar nut thing off the shaft first. I have already pulled the driveshaft out of the truck and separated the two halfs. Here is a pic of the part I am talking about.

Just pull it off over the splines... it'll come off.. nothing special to it... when I seperate them at work I unbolt it at the rear diff (leave the carrier bolted in)then pull the rear half of the drivesshaft out.. then unbolt the center carrier/support... easy as pie... no need to mess with that screwed on collar...
