I am trying to remove the convenience center out of my 1988 c2500. Whats the trick to get it to separate? Got the corner screws out and when I spin teh center one it feels like it wants to come out, but it doesn't. Any hints or tips?

Thanks in advance.

The corner screws hold the inside portion to the firewall; the center screw holds the two halves together.. but there's also some black tarry goop sealant holding the halves together. The center screw is captive, but once you have it loose, just pull the halves apart. It will fight you a little.
