cab light wire location

hey guys im looking to see if anyone know about the clearence lights (or cab lights) on the roof. im looking to see what side and route of the wires

It's one string of wires that runs up the dr side a pillar an across the roof ending at the pass side light. Factory ones plug into the relay center under the dash next to the parking brake.

Ya that is from an 88-94. 95+ will be different.....

The blue connector is what you are looking for, it is high in the driver's kick area. I have worked on some truck's where the plug couldn't be accessed with the dash in the truck. In those cases I have always just connected to the brown parklight wire on the headlight switch and grounded the other.
