The intake is complete too, injectors, rails, not sure out pigtails for injectors, but TB is there. A new TB for cable, for this intake is under $200, so not horribly priced if have to get one. But if I'm gonna be mod'n the engine sure won't hurt.
706 heads work well on even a stock 6.0L provided they are not the crack prone castechs.

gonna send them to local machine shop. if they bad I can always get more.

Can also sniff out some 243/799 castings. Same ports as a 317 with a smaller chamber to boost compression. They put the 799 on every run of the mill GenIV 5.3 out there.

i thought 799s were the newer stuff? And on 6.0?

I didnt think got too bad a deal. Compression might be bit hi with the 706s, came out to 10.5:1. But they made power NA and boost, what I'm after...

Had a screen shot on my phone lol. Aluminum 5.3s, 05 and newer. They seem to make more power than the 706s up hi, but the 706 made more torque down low....

Richard Holdener made a video on all the common heads on the Gen III. If recall, the 706s performed the best on the4.8/5.3, and the 317s did not perform as well as was thought on the 6.0, but can't remember what was the 6.0 head that did better.

706s did great on the 6.0, why I got em with the motor. Hear alot bout the 799, best thing since sliced bread, but he did a dyno with a LY6 with healthy cam, both 706 and 799 heads, 706s beat em down low, 799 beat em up hi. Which is weird since the 706s have worse flow, smaller valves, smaller ports. I'll still keep n eye for em at the local yards, they get new sets everyday, and many trucks are in the 10s 11 year range already. But they go quick lol.

Actually they are pretty good in the snow. My driveway has a slight incline pulling out to the road. Doesn't matter if its heavy wet snow or lite fluffy stuff. On the road there great, prolly one of the better all season tires I've had. Plus wide tires generally don't do very well in snow lol....

Goodyear duratracs and Falken Wildpeak AT3Ws are my favorite so far.

I have the Falkens on it now. Its just the angle of the driveway, trying to back out, no weight in the bed and bad shocks lol. Theyve been on for 2 years now, still look like the day I put em on, save for the nail sideways in the tread, still holds air tho.
