I just got my truck back from the shop for wiring issues. And she just got a new distributor and retimed twice. She was running good today until that light started flickering. Like it wasn’t grounded or something and her engine was like surging? I don’t know how to describe it but she wanted to keep moving after stopping? Maybe rough idle then? But it wasn’t as rough as it was when she was out of time.

Three things can turn on the instrument cluster "BRAKE" light.
1. Park brake engaged
2. "Safety switch" on the Combination Valve is activated by a hydraulic system failure
3. ABS problems

None of those are directly related to engine performance. Kinda guessing that the light, and the engine driveability issues are not related.

If the vehicle wants to keep moving after stopping, I'd have to suspect you've got brake hydraulic system problems. But that's not guaranteed. Just something to look at. Brake fluid level in the master cylinder reservoir good?
