I’m having to put a new motor in my 99’ K2500 7.4. Long story short it also needs injectors. I would like to do the 5.0 Bosch upgrades but honestly can’t afford the cost right now. After a full day of cross referencing part numbers in their site and several others I think I have a solution. 50 recommends 0280155884 for both the Vortec 7.4 and 95’ 5.0 mustang. When I search for the stock injector for a 95’ mustang I get 0280155821. Both part numbers have the same flow rate and resistance. Would I be correct to assume that the 0280155821 would work in my motor with no issues?

I drove it about 10 miles with these before confirming I had rod knock. Seemed to run perfect though. I'll be installing them in my used motor and installing that next week.

I am going through the same thing BigBlockBill was talking about. How did these injectors turn out? Have any long term issues?

These are the guys I ordered from. These would be the Gen II bosch replacement that flows just a bit more than stock. They are close enough to not need a tune. https://www.southbayfuelinjectors.c...h-camaro-firebird-5-0-tpi-fuel-injectors.html

These are the, even better, 3rd gen Bosch 4-hole injectors. They are only $10 more than the Gen II. https://www.southbayfuelinjectors.c...maro-firebird-5-0-305-tpi-fuel-injectors.html

The factory injectors are ~19lb/hr. I went with the Gen III Bosch 30lb/hr for my L29, but I'm running a bigger cam, headers, and CNP ignition on mine.

Thanks for the info. So what is the difference in all of these injectors if they are all 19lb/hr. There is a decent cost different so I can't imagine that they are all the "same level" of product.....

Including the ones you listed above and these too?

The fat ones are the older Gen II Bosch injectors. The thinner ones are the newer design Bosch injectors.
