Any one moved a GMT400 3dr ECSB body onto a GMT800 ECSB?

totally different frame where what you are asking proposes a host of fitment issues. If easily do-able info would be all over the place. If you have an unlimited budget, unlimited time, a fab shop at your disposal, and the skills to get it done, anything is possible.Everything from body mounts to hanging the bumpers is different.Any one moved a GMT400 3dr ECSB body onto a GMT800 ECSB?
Thing is, a '59 is an I-beam front suspension that rides like an antique tractor, and has no power steering, drum brakes, etc. so there's a ready market for chassis swaps. A GMT400 chassis is actually pretty good and IMO the first truly modern chassis on these trucks.With the love of gmt400s, you'd think there was a body-to-chassis conversion kit, like this 59' Chevy short bed to GMT800 chassis:

Agreed. No real benefit to the huge amount of work, IMO. Especially if it's a 2WD because stock or lowered ride height won't be compatible with the wider track of the GMT800.Why?
