Thanks guys! are they self adjusting? if i ever add a 4" suspension lift will they still work or be too short?

No they are not self adjusting. The 2" longer ones will be to short for a full suspension lift.

Hmm well ideally id like a set that will work decent with the level but also work with a suspension lift like you plan to do studio54. What were your measurements just for comparison?

Anyone know if the 4-6" shocks will work? looking to buy these, always hear about guys using them on leveled setups and I can only find the one size for these trucks

When I had my truck with just a 2" block and crank I ran 4-6" shocks in the back but just 2" in the front. Take a jack and jack up lower control arm until the tire comes off the ground. Measure the shock length If I remember right my 5100's were 15" at full compressed.

thats what im running.

Mine were 17" eye to eye at ride height.

Hey all what’s the better ride quality between the 4600 and 5100? I’m looking for a more Cadillac ride than truck ride as my 400 is a Escalade. lol or would both be not the best choice? If I recall the Escalade came with bilsteins but were a softer shock than the standard 400’s or maybe it was other suspension parts? I know the old motor week review mentioned it had a softer ride and shocks could’ve been a little stiffer. That essentially is my source. lol thanks for any help!
