if you sat a 305 and a 350 side by side you could not tell them a part if some that did not got a used engine that was not mechanicly inclined they would have no clue

I have to say I like the distributor in the front

A 302 with a nice set of heads, decent cam and exhaust makes for spicy combo in foxbody mustang.

But yeah a 305 isn’t the best but not the worst. Kinda like v6 performance with v8 sound.

I'm brand-agnostic. A 302 is far and above a better motor than a 305. Maybe the 305 could have been a good motor, but GM only ever developed it as a budget alternative to the 350.

If a 305's running good, keep running it. If it breaks, don't spend any money on it. A 350 can be had for nearly free.

Oh I have. We used to have one. But but it was a good little motor for us we got 300k out of it. Under powered for sure. But lasted a while
