Hello all,

I added a Powermaster 140 amp alt to my 92 truck as I am running flex-a-lite fans and an MSD 6a box.

Should I increase the wire size running from the alt to the power distribution block on the firewall? if so what size? will I run the risk of melting the power distribution block?

electrical is not my strong suit so any help much appreciated.

thx

When i added my powermaster I made a new cable from the alt to the block on the fire wall out of 0 gauge cable then later when i relocated the bat to the bed i made all new cables out of the same 0 gauge cable.

Yeah I figured I prob should. You didn't have any problems with the plastic distribution block getting too hot/not able to handle the current?

Do they make shielded power wire? I have a lot of radio feedback from the stock system with the msd box. I even installed an MSD noise filter which helped but it still has that whine.
