A/C clutch replacement

This is actually on the wife's '05 Avalanche. The A/C clutch burned up yesterday, how hard is this to replace?

I would be very suprised if you can remove just the clutch, I had to replace the compressor on our 02 burb because of a bad clutch also. What was worse is that no part's store sold the correct compressor, it was a dealer only item, it cost me $530 just for the compressor, but I would bet your's won't be near that much.

Just found out it is the whole compressor, going to be $850 to have it fixed.................geeeeze.
