99 L31 Burb won't start

The pump is not coming on, no matter what I do. And the truck ran fine when we drove it out here, 3 weeks ago. We'd been driving it every day since the wreck, except for when we were driving the crew cab. No problems at all, then park it, try to restart it a couple days later and nothing.

Battery and starter are fine. Just a couple months old. Connections are good, cranks strong, just won't fire cause no fuel is there....

No cause I don't have one. But there's no gas at the Schrader valve, it just smells like old gas. And the pump makes no noise

If it was me I would lower the fuel tank with a piece of wood and jack and stick my hand to the wiring harness to see the condition of the wires and if you can and then do your power testing. There was a tsb on the wiring harness from gm and that's why they send a new connection with the fuel pump. Either way it sucks from working underneath and not to mention. If it turns out not the be the fuel pump. That's why I cut a hole in mind..

I have a transmission attachment for my floor jack, may try that tomorrow. Gonna be dark in a bit, guess I will go soak the bolts with PB Blaster....and try again tomorrow.

Sound like you need to probe the connection then and see if 12v is at least there. Start siphoning that fuel tank . I believe you said it's full...

Here's what to expect and some basic tools you'll need if you have to change the fuel pump.... my advice buy good quality snap ring pliers and fuel disconnectors

I think it's the pump or wiring. Neighbor brought starting fluid and it wants to run, but once it burns the ether it won't stay running.

If it's original I expect the pump before wiring but I guess wiring is a cheaper repair. So we'll see
