To answer your original question, 1/2 Tons got the 2 Bolt Mains. 3/4 and 1 ton got the 4 Bolt.

That's not to say every one of these trucks under the sun is that way, there's some oddballs out there.

Put the 4bolt main in my 98 1/2 ton bolted right in 30k later it still runs great.
