This is the only picture I have of The Burb with his new grille, but it's a GM OEM style that Allstate paid $400 for! The arrow points to the bowtie surround, that the aftermarket grille (the cheaper ones anyway) don't have. The top and bottom parts aren't on the non OEM style grilles. Some people wouldn't care but if you're picky, you'll notice that it just looks "off".

And a new bowtie is a Benjamin, so the space is going to be empty for a bit(till I make a bowtie from brass, one of many projects coming up!). I'm not using the Burb right now, so it's not a problem.

That’s one of my major dislikes of aftermarket grills is the bow tie surround. You’re lucky you found a OEM grill.

That’s one of my major dislikes of aftermarket grills is the bow tie surround. You’re lucky you found a OEM grill.
That was my main ask on the job, since the Burb had a factory style one. Thankfully the estimate had that in it without me having to ask/demand.....
