Bought the burb 2005, was my daily till 2012, had it finished till I had an engine fire last winter, going further with it now. I have a TON of pictures so this is going to take a bunch of posts in this thread.

Overview: 489 stroker, 10.5:1 comp ratio, stock block, replaced everything else.
-eagle competion forged bottom end
-howards retro roller cam & lifters, biggest lift I could get, very lumpy
-performance world BBC aluminum heads
-comp cam roller rockers
-bee hive springs
-edlebrock performer rpm air gap intake
-performance work high volume fuel pump
-moroso high volume oil pan & pump
-mildon roller timing kit
-fast EZ EFI 2.0 fuel injection throttle body (fast ECM burnt)
-TCI EZ TCU transmision controller (4L80e)
-fast dual-sync disitributor (burnt)
-fast CD ignition (caused the fire)
-JBA long tube SS headers
-dual 3" exhaust with X pipe & flo pro mufflers

Engine is built to make 650hp and rotate over 6k, was barely past break-in when I had the fire so hasn't been dyno tunned yet, threw out the fast ECM, distributor, ignition and stock fan after the fire, going Holley crank trigger, coil packs, mega-squirt 3 pro and electric fans.

lowering kit going in and body work, front end was easy, back end, not so much, no kit for a 3/4ton burb so front end is for a 1ton truck, and back end is for a 1/2ton burb, frame holes didn't line up, shackles hit the floor so I had to cut holes, worked in the end

Engine out and off to the machine shop, me holding the very long build sheet, headers wouldn't clear the oil pan so I had to get them modified

Truck was done and running well besides burning plug wires, got corbeau racing seats and was staring to do sound deadening and new carpets when I had an engine fire, ignition lead must have been nicked. Managed to put it out (keep a fire extinguisher in your garage) but it melted allot of wiring.

How it sits now, installed a holley crank trigger, had to space my accessories out 3/16", built brackets for my valve covers to hold AMP coil packs, pulled the fast throttle body apart to make sure it wasn't damaged and trace/label the wires for the future megasquirt ECU, mostly finished installing the new carpet and seats, and slowly re-doing what I need of the stock wiring
