I need to do the rear brakes on my 93 Silverado. Do I need to buy shoes for a 2500 or a 1500?

You need to buy shoes for a truck with 14-bolt Semi - float. 2500 would probably be wrong

You ignore anybody that hasn't owned or worked on one, then buy the shoes for a 2500 but only for a 2500 shown w/7200 lb GVWR. That's the "light duty" 2500. If you get them for a 2500 w/8600 lb GVWR that's a real 2500 - 8 lug - and the shoes will be wrong. Most 1500 choices will be wrong too.

Or look at your SPID label in the glovebox and observe the RPO code JB6 which means you have 11" x 2.75" rear drums, which will help you get the right shoes.
