89 Silverado 350, Thermostat change, belt tensioner bracket.

Anyone know off hand if ya can get away with NOT removing the tensioner bracket to install colder Thermostat?

One has nothing to do with the other.

One of the mounting tab eyes, at back of tensioning bracket, is attached at the thermostat housing attaching studs?

If it is, you have to get the bracket off the top of it and deal with whatever you have to disassemble to do so.

Thank you, YES I was looking for a short cut. But yeah looks like has to be removed. and belt etc... Thank you...

They are INDEED related. Bracket mounts to the housing... And the other end of bracket is welded... Was curious if enough room to do it without the extra BS stuff removed.

Be nice if the bracket would lift up enough, but don't look like it. And a second one under needs to be removed.
